Last night’s Group Night Ride was a huge success. Close to 100 riders kicked off from Factory Five around 9pm, and bolted around Shanghai underneath the elevated ring road.
We had a great mix of foreign and local riders, experienced and beginners. For the most part everyone was able to stay as a large group – which is always an incredible feeling.
The highlight of the night was definitely riding the elevated boardwalk on the West side of the Huangpu River – yep, the BUND. Security and police forces didn’t seem to mind, and none of us were stopped. I managed to snap a few crappy photos from the river’s edge – check ‘em out! Good fun, see you all next week.
Approaching the Bund – taken over my shoulder.
Taking the ramp up to the boardwalk, South end of the Bund.
Cruising the boardwalk! Easily one of the best views in China.
Hanging out where the Suzhou Creek meets the Huangpu River, North Bund.
Great turnout and an awesome ride!
