People’s Bike started in 2009 in Shanghai, China. It is now run solely by Tyler Bowa, who for almost 5 years has been the driving force behind track bikes in China. His goal has always been to fuel the love of riding as something more than a means of transportation in China. As founder of Factory Five, The Shanghai Alleycat, and 48×15 Magazine he has organized over 200 events such as bike polo sessions, group night rides, competitions, races and larger festival events.

In the past few years People’s Bike has been cited in China Daily, The Global Times, The New York Times, CNN, BBC, CCTV and many other notable publications.
