1. Factory Five
Shanghai’s first fixie boutique, built by fixed rides for fixed riders. These guys can handle any project, and are currently pushing their own line of aluminum and steel custom frames.You can be sure that everything they bring will have been skidded, worn, pedaled and weathered to near-destruction before they approve it. Only the best – if they wouldn’t rock it – you don’t need it.

2. Airwalk Fixed Gear
A popular beginner’s choice for rainbow colored fixed gears, Airwalk has been pumping out the neons since 2009 in Shanghai.
242 Julu Lu near Maoming Lu
This grungy store is located in the heart of the French Concession. The guys running the shop are extremely friendly, ready to answer any of your questions and help you with anything you might need. They carry everything from basic run-around bikes, to mountain bikes, to bmx bikes. They’ve also got a few fixies kicking around.

4. Chain’s Sprocket
If you have a fetish for anything carbon related, then this is your shop. Friendly, knowledgeable, and able to order in parts from out of country, this shop is a step up from most in the area.

5. Specialized (Puxi)
Importing their products all the way from the East coast of the USA, this shop covers any ‘higher-end’ road cyclists needs. They’ve got everything from carbon to aluminium, and even have a few fixed gear bikes and parts kicking around the shop. A worthwhile visit if you’ve got some money to spend!

6. Fengsu Bike
This father-son shop is a great place to stock up on cheap new and used road bike parts. They’ve got a ton of imported goods, all at reasonable prices! Be sure to hunt through their piles of assorted gear found behind all of the glass cabinets.
345 Wuliqiao Lu, near Mengzi Lu
7. Shanghai Friend Biking Club
For a small shop, these guys are professional. They carry a wide range of cycling parts; everything from road bike, to mountain bike, to bmx. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you out with anything you might need. Prices are decent, and they can order in parts on demand. One thing that sets this shop apart from the rest is their great work room; they’ve got a full workshop in the store accompanied by a full time knowledgeable team!

8. La Bici
Probably the most elite of all the bike shops in Shanghai, La Bici stocks all high end road bikes with a few mountain bikes. Got money to spend ? Head over to La Bici. Want to drool over some super nice stuff ? Then this is your spot !

Lane 369, No. 27, Wulumuqi Lu near Zhaojiabang Lu
One of the few shops in the city that rents bicycles. They also have a pretty good selection of all Giant accessories and apparel.
743 Jianguo Xi Lu, near Hengshan Lu
11. Dahon Bicycle Store
The name pretty much gives this place away – all things Dahon, get your folding bike fetish here.
698 Tianshan Lu, near Gubei Lu
Likely the best Trek location in the city, this shop sometimes has good deals on leftover goods from quality brands. Worth checking out.
