Our good friends have pledged to ride all Winter and have challenged you to do the same! Check out the details below:
“We are Lane Change and starting December 1 we want you to join the ‘Winter B-icicle Challenge‘, where riders pledge to ride their bikes all throughout winter.
It’s not difficult to wax lyrical about the joy of cycling. It’s fun, good for your health, better than being stuck in traffic, and gives you an entirely new relationship to a city. And on a larger scale, it’s a much more environmentally friendly option than gas guzzling cars. Something to think about with climate change breathing down our necks.
Lane Change is a global non-profit bicycle gang. We would love if you could share our challenge with your networks!”
Join us tomorrow for a night ride and a couple of beers in celebration of the new issue of 48×15, and our new space!
Yes, we moved . . kind of. We literally shuffled over to a different unit in the same complex. Now Block E – walk past the doorway into our previous building and turn left under the tunnel – we are right in front – you can’t miss us.
We’ll kick things off with hang outs and high fives around 8pm, and leave for a short ride at 9pm. Afterwards we’ll reconvene at Factory Five for some cheap beers (Vedett and Xinkiang Black Beers).
This will also be the first chance for you to get your hands on the new 48×15 – so even if you’re not interested in the ride swing by and grab a copy! See you all tomorrow night.
Next weekend, F5s very own Drew is taking part in the Oxfam Trailwalker – a 100k race across the Hong Kong mountains. It takes a day or so, hiking non-stop through the night. It’s all in the name of charity… and pushing endurance to the max.
The four-strong Shanghai team is holding a fund raiser in Annion, with a raffle for donations. We thought it only best to show our support and offer a brand new Factory Five build as the main prize. We’re super pumped to contribute to such a good cause and let’s face it – they need all the support they can get!
So, for your chance to get your hands on one of Shanghai’s coolest bikes, see you at Annion on Tuesday 15th. Tickets are an appropriately modest RMB 100 (there’s a heap of awesome prizes) and all contributions go to Oxfam. If you can’t make it – you can still get in on a chance to win. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When: 8:30pm, Tuesday November 15th
Where: Annion, Jiashan Market, No. 37, Lane 550 Shanxi Nan Lu (Nr Shaoxing Lu)
See you there and from the Factory Five Family – jiayou!
