We helped Taco complete this jaw dropping NJS LEVEL complete build with the PAUL Royal Flush crankset, Restrap Horizontal straps, and Gran Compe quill stem. Check out those Corima rims! More shots up on our Flickr page.
Our friends Twin Horizon have put out another selection of fantastic cycling flannels and hand screen-printed t-shirts. Just in time for spring, the flannels have a few neat upgrades from last year’s models, including gussets to the armpit seams for a greater range of motion. We’re hosting their launch party this Saturday, March 1st. Things kick off at 7pm. Like all F5 goodness there’ll be snacks, beer, music, the whole TH spring line and a ton of fun. Drop through, check out the clothes, pick up a piece or two and join us for the evening.
Yesterday we teamed up with our friend, and Shanghai-based photographer, Ambrous Young to try and make something special. We spent the day playing with camera set-ups, bikes, lighting rigs, and a ton of fishing line. This week we’ll sit down sort and out the best of the best and hopefully get the finals posted soon. For now, check out a couple of these ‘behind the scenes’ shots – that F550s looks damn good!
We’ve got a beautiful chrome plated – custom painted F5 Pista up for grabs. Built only a few months ago, it measures 61cm C-T : this bike is for the big boys. Complete with a BROOKS B17 Special saddle, classic box rims laced to Novatec hubs and slick little set of riser bars finished off with BROOKS bar wrap. All in this complete build is 5,900CNY. It won’t last long, so roll through if you’re interested.
This preloved bike is built around a vintage Japanese National road bike frame-set. National are now know as Panasonic… their frames are some of the best in the world. This one is the ‘Randione Gradation’ model. 55cm. Lugged cro-moly steel with a deep purple finish. We’ve built it up as a single speed bike with a black wheelbuild (box rims on novatec hubs with DTSwiss spokes) and matching black quill stem / seatpost.
Shimano hood brakes give this a vintage racer feel and we have to admit hoods are our favorite kind of levers. They’re comfy, dependable and give many options for hand positions. This frame has all the braze-ons to be built up as a geared road bike so can be converted back in the future if you like. Â¥2,800 give us a firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested.

Regardless of which calendar you use, as of this week the new year is very definitely in effect. If you didn’t know, 2014 is the year of the Horse. As we sometimes feel like fixed-gear urban cowboys, wrangling traffic on the city streets, we kinda feel like it’s going to be a biker’s year.
We’ll be doing our part to make sure that happens. Talks are underway for a few biking events which might just blow the roof off. At the same time we’ve got a couple more products in the works, a winter party to throw before the big-thaw and plenty of beers to drinks with you awesome people who support their local bike stores when it’s cold outside.
So. This year we’re planning to roam further, gallop faster and whip harder than ever before. What’s your resolution?
