Our aluminium F550 is an all round powerhouse. Lightweight, TIG welded tubing with an aggressive track geometry it is sturdy and fast and versatile. We love it, did we say that? We love the oversize welding crimp, the simplicity of the track triangles and the modernity that it oozes.
This is a complete bike built around that F550 frameset. The frame is raw, brushed with a clearcoat. It is 56cm and built up with our pick of the best stock components throughout. We’ve also added a splash of attitude with these standout yellow Novatec hubs.
Complete build: ¥4,600.
This is a Chinese classic 28inch frame that we had custom painted Gold in the early days of Factory Five. We awarded it as a limited edition prize and since then it has been ridden around town by one very careful owner. It comes complete with fenders and is in great conditional all over. Price: Â¥2,000 Head over to the workshop if you’re interested.
We don’t get many large European track frames over this part of the world and this amazing Sannino vintage Italian frameset is pretty incredible. 59cm, Feather light, beautifully painted and a geometry that will have you kissing your fingers… Al Bacio!
Included with the frameset is: Headset: Stronglight Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo Stem: Sannino Customized Cinelli Handlebar: Cinelli Saddle: San Marco Turbo Champion
All the above: ¥6,000

We have a super unique fixed gear build for sale in the workshop right now. It is an 46cm custom LSD frameset in high polish. LSD frames start at ¥5,000. Unlike most smaller fixie frames, this one has been smartly built for 650c wheels which gives the whole build both comfort and matched proportions.
The race wheels are super light too. Elsewhere no expense has been spared. Nitto B123 (fully chromed!) bars, Brooks B17S saddle, dia comple brakes, campagnolo chainring and MKS pedals. If you’re looking for a special build in a specialty size – this is it!

Here’s a used fixie built around a Columbus Cromor frameset. It’s 54cm in deep blue with black components and a set of blue/black deep dish rims. Also, the build includes these pretty unique wooden handlebars.

Tonight we’re going on a thermo-blast through Shanghai. Join us and our gang for a ride like no other. Never been on a Factory Five Night Ride before? Well just imagine an awesome night ride through an awesome city… then bigger it.
You just need a bike, helmet, lights and a good head for street smarts. We ride for an hour or so, stop for a drink or two and then ride a bit more. By midnight you’ll either be tucked up in bed or having a beer with us around the corner from Factory Five.
Our Factory Five workshop is where the night ride starts. It’s at 876 Jiangsu Lu near Huashan. Check our FAQ for instructions on how to find us… or just hit that junction and follow the bikers.
We leave at 9pm. If you need work doing on your bike, some air in your tyres, oil on your chain, then come early. We close the workshop at 8:30pm. One other thing. The ride is big and takes a lot of organizing. To keep everybody facing in the right direction and the right side up we have a set of rules. Everybody who attends the ride is expected to read, understand and follow the Rules of the Ride. Thankyou for your consideration and harmonious understanding.
July 20th was the hottest day of the year so far and it will take eggs frying on the ground to top what was a pure scorcher. A gaggle of vixens from our Factory Five family set forth and completed the Rapha Women’s 100km challenge with an additional 20k in change.
120km fixed-gear through the outskirts of Shanghai in the blazing heat was no mean feat. We’re pretty sure they’re up there on the list of 7,500 other women around the world who took part… and by the looks of things a few dudes on the other Shanghai ride also! Um, what?
A massive shoutout to Kasia Bozek, Rachel Deng, Brigida Galbete, Laura Imkamp, Alex Mok & Amanda Pateman. They all got a lot stronger, a little sunburn, a Factory Five water bottle and a commemorative patch in the post from Rapha. Keep an eye out for future rides!
